Roundup Ready Flex® is the next generation of Monsanto's Roundup Ready® cotton technology, which offers growers effective and efficient weed control.
Australian growers are among the first in the world to have access to the technology which allows them to safely spray Roundup Ready® herbicide over-the-top of Roundup Ready Flex® cotton throughout the key period for controlling economically damaging weeds. This is in comparison to Roundup Ready® cotton which can only be sprayed safely up to the 4-leaf stage of growth.
Full regulatory approvals were gained in 2006 for the commercialisation of Roundup Ready Flex®. Growers will be planting a limited number of hectares in the 2006/07 season in the first phase of the product's commercialisation.
