On July 2nd, 2009 Monsanto participated in the 14th BCG Grains Research Expo.
The BCG expo was a great success, the community benefits enormously from the science and knowledge that was presented at the event. It gives farmers direct access to the most up-to-date technologies available in Australia.
Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce, AC, Governor-General, formally opened the 2009 event and then toured the expo to meet exhibitors and visitors.

Monsanto’s Canola Business Lead & Regional Business Manager VIC/SA, Tony May, presented at a session focused on GM grains, discussing GM technologies that are available in other parts of the world and products that are currently in the pipeline.
Monsanto’s stand included a guessing competition, where participants had to guess how many Roundup Ready canola seeds were in the jar. We would like to congratulate Graeme Gulline for entering the closest guess! For his efforts Graeme took home a 60L esky.
The BCG Grains Research Expo was a beneficial event for farmers, researchers, BCG partners and industry.
