The Monsanto Cotton Grower of the Year Award is the company’s largest year-by-year industry sponsorship. Australian cotton growers are the worlds most productive and resource efficient, and there are many people working quietly for the benefit of the industry and the cotton growing regions of Australia and this Award helps to give a profile to these people and these stories.
Our support now tallies more than $100,000 over the past 5 years, ensuring that excellence in cotton growing continues to get the recognition it deserves. Each year the amount is shared between the running of the awards program and prize money for the leading cotton grower.
Entries closed on Friday 30 April, 2010 with the winner’s name being announced at the gala awards dinner at the biennial industry conference at the Gold Coast in August.
