In 2009 under the Technology User Agreement (TUA), growers who plant Roundup Ready® canola have a contractual obligation pay an End Point Royalty (EPR) on the grain produced.
The EPR can be colleced one of two ways;
- Grain sold to a marketer who automatically deducts the EPR from the grower payment. The industry list of the automatic EPR deducting traders is below.
OR
- Monsanto will invoice the grower directly if the grain is sold to a grain trader who does not automatically deduct the EPR from the grower payment.

Please note that it is the responsibility of the grower to ensure the above grain marketers are buying Roundup Ready canola in a given year.
Important Information:
- Roundup Ready canola growers are contractually obligated to pay the applicable End Point Royalty under the signed Technology User Agreement (TUA)
- Roundup Ready canola grain cannot be warehoused or transported in South Australia under state legislation
- Seed produced from Roundup Ready canola crops cannot be saved and re-planted in a subsequent season
- No End Point Royalty is owed on Roundup Ready canola that is cut for hay or silage
